ABOUT OUR EMBLEM

Sunflowers to show the strength that women can exude (when we put our mind & heart to it), always going towards the light & brightness (Positivity), despite any weakness (in mind / body). THE REASON FOR THE PASSION

Dr & Mrs Ramesh Nambiar
The passion for SEAS came about due to Azeeza Jalaludeen’s (Mrs. Ramesh Nambiar) personal experience as a sufferer of endometriosis.  Azeeza was diagnosed with the condition at the age of 21, when it was already at stage 3.  She went through laparoscopy and removal of cysts, which saved one of her ovaries.  7 years after her 3rd biological child, at 33, she had a re-lapse, with a very severe condition. During this preriod of physical & emotional trauma, Azeeza had only 2 weeks of active life per month, affecting quality time with her family and business. She looked frantically for help and support in Singapore/ Asia, especially for a second opinion on surgery and effective holistic approaches.  Unfortunately, this was not available.

It was during this time that Azeeza found APEA through her desperate search on the Internet. With her husband, Dr Ramesh Nambiar, PhD (Hon), she travelled to the APEA patient forum in Kuala Lumpur.  The comprehensive presentations by the APEA experts during the forum, gave Azeeza more in-depth knowledge of here endometriosis condition and how to cope with it effectively.

Together with her own extensive research on holistic approaches, using EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), visualisation, pain relief solutions, breathworks, diet and other Holistic Healing Programs, including her visit to China to research on Modernized Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) applications, she has been coping and recovering tremendously well.

Azeeza was particularly impressed with the way that APEA helps Women and Teenagers with this condition and was inspired to do the same.  The encouragement from APEA, New Zealand Endometriosis Foundation , and most importantly, her ever supportive husband, has given her the confidence and excitement to start SEAS.  SEAS can now, offer a truly professional holistic support group and awareness education to women on this stressful condition in Asia / World.

Being effectively multi-lingual in English, Mandarin, Tamil and Malay, Azeeza, together with her ever-growing team of support group members, SEAS  is committed to:

• Create Awareness of Endometriosis in the Singapore / Asian community
• Provide comprehensive holistic support
• Give quality information, updates and valuable support to women and their families across many cultures & nations
• Provide Educational Platforms to teenage girls / Women on this topic.

SEAS reaches out to women through various means, including talks in organisations & educational institutions.  SEAS is confident that it can help women regain active and quality lives, by giving them the HOPE & ROPES to Conquer the Endo Dis-Ease!

SHINE is very grateful & appreciative of Dr Susan Evans of APEA, Ms Deborah Bush of  NZEF, Dr Hanif Khan (Organiser of APEA -KL Forum) from Malaysia, Endometriosis Organisation & all doctors, friends, who're supporting & contributing to the worthy mission & vision of SEAS!
