EFT to FREE Endo Dis-Ease

What is EFT?

EFT is based on a new discovery that has provided thousands with relief from pain, diseases and emotional issues. Simply stated, it is an emotional version of acupuncture except needles aren't necessary. Instead, you stimulate well established energy meridian points on your body by tapping on them with your fingertips. The process is easy to memorize and is portable so you can do it anywhere.

It launches off the EFT Discovery Statement which says...
"The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system."
And because our physical pains and diseases are so obviously connected with our emotions the following statement has also proven to be true... "Our unresolved negative emotions are major contributors to most physical pains and diseases."
Excerpt from the The Healing Energy Therapies

There are proven testimonies for healing & pain relief for endometriosis, using EFT. Its amazing to note how this simple technique can be used to almost instantly help relieve pain & help in the process of healing. Simple, 2-3 minutes, a few times a day, over a few weeks, can give astonishing but very desirable results for this condition.

* Results differ with individuals & supported healing & EFT training from workshops can help improve the condition much faster than you can expect.

Below is an Article by Siewfan Wong, an EFT practitioner and Chios Energy Field Healing Master.

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a healing method that addresses physical and emotional pain. It works directly on the body’s subtle energy to deal with trauma, pain, grief, anger, depression, anxiety, phobias, addictive behavior and other physical and emotional issues. It is used in therapy by professional practitioners or by EFT beginners as a self help method. It belongs to the group of healing methods commonly known as energy psychology and are cousins to modalities like TFT (Thought Field Therapy) and Applied Kinesiology.

The basic premise of EFT is “The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy system.” Disruptions in the body’s energy system are also believed to cause physical symptoms of discomfort, pain and disfunction in the physical body. As such EFT directly addresses the cause by dealing with the body’s energy system by way of the accupoints. It involves gently tapping on 14 or so different points on the surface of the body while tuning in to the issue we are trying to resolve. There are of course different variations to the basic technique to address different aspects of the emotion. While practitioners may use diagnostic methods to fine tune the technique, with a little persistence the EFT beginner can be as effective using the 100% overhaul idea, i.e., work on all the accupoints using the basic EFT recipe. The EFT manual with the basic EFT recipe can be freely downloaded from the main EFT website www.emofree.com. Practitioners of the technique also have their own preferences. The one I’m sharing here is one that I often assign as homework to my clients. It covers the different aspects of the issue to be addressed, and corrects some of the common problems in body’s energy circuits that inhibits healing.

How do we use EFT for Endometriosis
We can use EFT to address endometriosis to resolve pain and emotions at three different levels.
1.Managing and reducing the pain during an episode. Generally addressing the pain of endometriosis without addressing the emotional issues associated with it will help but not permanently eliminate the pain.
2.Anticipating the next onset of pain before the onset of the next painful episode. This is about alleviating the anxiety and reducing the intensity of the next episode.
3.Neutralizing core emotional issues that is contributing to the condition. These could range from the denial or rejection of our femininity, procreation or creativity issues, or specific anxiety (insecurity, frustration, disappointment, blame, lovelessness, fear, hurt, grief, shame, guilt etc) arising from an earlier traumatic event. Such events on hindsight may seem insignificant, but our private experience of it may have been sufficiently negative to create a negative imprint on our psyche without our conscious knowledge.

This article will primarily deal with the first 2 levels of managing the pain during an episode, and managing the anxiety of the pain in between episodes.

The abbreviated EFT sequence
In my own practice I use an abbreviated sequence as illustrated below. Some points to note:
Choose to tap either the right or left side of the body, but use the sore spot on the left side.
Use 2 or 3 fingers to gently tap on each of the points around 7 to 10 times before moving on to the next point.
The point under the arm pit can best be accessed using the whole hand.
The point at the middle of the chest is can be tapped with all the fingers in a cupped position.
During the tapping you will be tuning in to the issue you want to work on, and sometimes you will be reading a series of statements to help you stay in touch or to affirm the new emotions or thought patterns you want to instill. The basic statement structure to use while tapping is as follows
Statement of the problem: “ though I have this ___________(problem/issue/pain)”
Acceptance & reconciliation: “I deeply and completely love and accept myself anyway. I forgive myself and anyone else who contributed to this situation.”
Affirmations & empowerment: “I now choose to be __________ (calm, confident, relaxed, comfortable etc)”
Places to Tap

1.Top: Top of the head
2.EB: Beginning of the eyebrow
3.SE: Side of the eye
4.UE: Under the eye
5.UN: Under the nose (along the center line of the face)
6.UL: Under the lips (along the center line of the face)
7.CB: Under the collar bone (locate the “U” shape depression at the base of the neck, locate the knob of the collar bone an inch to either side of that depression, locate the spot that is directly under that knob)
8.CH: Middle of the chest (one palm width below the collar bone along the middle line of the body)
9.UA: Under the armpit (along the side of the body at the level of the bra strap; tap using the whole palm)
10.SP: Sore spot on your upper left chest, also called the “ouch” point as it hurts when you rub that spot.

Putting it together for pain management
During an episode, there will be different qualities of pain in specific areas, e.g., the sharp pinching in the right ovary, the searing pull in the lower abdomen. It is best to focus on the most intense pain first. After a round or two of tapping, you may find that the pain has shifted in location, quality or intensity. You then follow the pain, tapping each specific occurrence as the pain intensify and subside.

1. Drink Water
Because your body needs water in order for the energy circuit to work properly, the first thing to do before an EFT session is to drink a glass of water. If you are dehydrated, the tapping may not work as well. Also for a few days after a session of EFT keep your hydration levels high by drinking 2 litres of water a day. It also helps to avoid alcohol, caffeine and anything else that might dehydrate you. Otherwise you might have headaches for a couple of days.

2. Assessment
The next thing you need to do is assess the level of pain on a scale of 0 – 10, 10 being maximum. Be specific; e.g., the sharp pinching in the right ovary with an intensity of 8, the searing pull in the lower left abdomen may be a 7. The level of intensity is your own assessment and is arbitrary. Just use it as a guage to determine whether the pain has diminished, and by how much in between rounds of tapping.

3. Tapping
Now focus on and tap for the sharp pinching pain. As you tap use the statements below:

Sore spot:  “Even though I have this sharp pinching pain, I deeply and completely love and accept myself, I accept my pain, I accept my body exactly the way it is, I forgive myself and anybody else who contributed to this situation”

 1 Top: “This pain”
2 EB: “I feel resistance towards this pain”
 3 SE: “This pinching pain”
4 UE: “This 8 sharp pinching pain”
 5 UN: “This remaining pain”
6 UL: “I have anxiety around this pain”
7 CB: “I choose to accept this sharp pinching pain”
8 CH: “I choose to release this pain”
9 UA: “I choose freedom from this pain”

4. Re-assessment
Assess the level of that pain, repeat the sequence (sore spot and points 1 - 9) until the “sharp pinching pain” is at a low level (intensity 1 or 2) or has dissipated (intensity 0).

4. Repeat Sequence for Next Issue (next type of pain)
Then move on to the next type of pain, e.g., the searing pull in the lower left abdomen. Is it still a 7, or has it shifted? Repeat the sequence of assessment, tapping and re-assessment  for each type of distinctive pain in the body.

When Tapping Doesn’t Work
If you are hydrated, and tapping doesn’t give you any or much relief even after 5 - 10 minutes, or the intensity of emotion comes down by less than 2 points at a time, you might have some psychological reversal against letting go of the pain. This is when the conscious mind wants to heal but the subconscious mind has reasons of it’s own for not healing for reasons of it’s own. It is the strong “… but…” at the end of a statement, e.g., “I want to be healthy, but…   being healthy means I have to be responsible for myself, and I just can’t cope….” When there is a conflict between the conscious and subconscious, the subconscious usually win. This psychological reversal may come in the following guises.
1.Possibility: But I don’t believe it’s possible to be pain free
2.Effectiveness: But I don’t think this will going to work,
3.Safety: But It’s not safe to let go of this pain, this pain protects me,
4.Deserve: But I deserve this pain
5.Authority: But I am not allowed to be pain free,
6.Identity: But This is part of my identity,
7.Secondary benefits: But I have secondary benefits for holding on to this pain, e.g., this illness makes me special, I get the attention that I don’t get otherwise.

To address psychological reversals, you simply tap all the points while repeating the statements. You may want to do this daily for 3 to 7 days in order for the changes to be effective. Repeat each statement 3 times every time you tap:

“Even though I don’t believe it’s possible for this pain to go away, and maybe I don’t even think this is going to work, I deeply and completely love and accept myself anyway, I forgive myself, and anybody else for contributing to this situation.

May be it’s not even safe for me to heal, maybe this pain protects me and keeps me safe in a weird sort of way, may be at some level I even deserve this pain, and I’m not allowed to let it go, I now choose to be calm and confident, I now choose to release my anxiety about this pain. I choose peace and joy.

May be this pain is a part of my identity, I need to pain, maybe I have some unconscious reasons for holding on to this pain. Even though a part of me wants to let this go, the rest of me needs to hold on to the pain. May be because this pain makes me special, I only get attention and love because I have this problem. May be a part of me needs this problem, but the rest of me knows that there is another way of being. I now choose to release all that is no longer in my best interest to retain. I now choose freedom to be who I am without holding on to this pain. I choose to know that I am powerful and desirable. It’s wonderful to be a woman. I love myself. I choose to be fulfilled.”

Managing Anxiety
Anxiety, used here as a general word to describe emotional pain. Anxiety contributes greatly to physical pain. Therefore it is useful to manage anxiety either during an episode or in between episode. Some of the commonly felt emotions related to endometriosis are insecurity, frustration, disappointment, blame, lovelessness, fear, hurt, grief, shame, guilt, despair, anger and powerlessness.  If you are able to identity the specific emotion, like “feeling powerless”, then use it during the tapping. Otherwise use the word “anxiety”. As in managing pain, follow the steps of assessment (how intense is the anxiety on a scale of 0 -10), tapping and re-assessment. For anxiety during or in between an episode:

Sore spot: “Even though I am anxious about this pain, I feel powerless against this pain, I deeply and completely love and accept myself anyway, I forgive myself and anybody else for contributing to this situation.”

 1 Top: “Powerless”
2 EB: “I feel resistance towards this powerless”
 3 SE: “This powerless”
 4 UE: “This 8 powerless”
 5 UN: “This remaining powerless”
6 UL: “I have anxiety about this powerless”
7 CB: “I deeply and completely love and accept myself anyway”
8 CH: “I forgive myself and anybody else”
9 UA: “who contributed to this powerless”

When the anxiety comes down, the pain should also calm. If you use this protocol in between periods consistently, chances are your pain episodes will be less intense. Tap 3 rounds daily for 7 days prior to your next period. I have clients who are pain free for some months when they tap in between periods.

Conclusion
EFT is said to work when nothing else does. You can try it on everything and it’s free. Please seek medical advise for medical conditions and use EFT to complement and augment your healing process. Results will vary according to the complexity of issue at hand, the skill level and even the level of intuition used in resolving the issue. Sometimes the energy system of the patient needs correction before energy techniques will work properly. However most of time, even a twelve year old child can get results. The process is very forgiving. Even if you don’t tap on the exact spot and you tap more or fewer times, you use or don’t use the statements, some effects will be experienced. You have nothing to loose in practicing EFT, so give it a shot. You might be presently surprised on how far you can get. To reap the full benefits of EFT for endometriosis, you may want to see an EFT practitioner to address core emotional issues.
